GPS - Global Positioning System.
GPS do not work in the following circumstances unless it has a high
sensitivity receiver e.g. Garmin etrex H or Garmin etrex Vista HCx:
- Under heavy vegetation cover.
- In heavy rain / snow precipitation conditions.
- Under wet foliage.
- In steep valleys or canyons.
- Under cover.
- With a flat battery (high senitivity receiver included).
A GPS works best in the open or on high ground, where the receiver has a
clear 360 degree view of the sky.
